If you want to use Movable Type for your blog but don’t have an always connected computer or simply don’t want to install it, you can use Weblogs.us, free MT blog hosting.
I’m using MT for this blog but, if I had to choose the blog server today, I would probably choose WordPress (read a short review). Note that WordPress is free software while MT is not.

Yes, MT is free software. The only time that you have to pay a license fee is if you want to use it commercially.
Free Software is software that gives you freedom. It is not software that costs nothing. Free software in Italian is “Software Libero”.
For example, you cannot modify MT and redistribute it, so MT licence does not give you this freedom and it is not Free Software.

BTW, it is said MTOS (movable type open source edition) will be released by the end of this year.
However, no release of MTOS yet. Anyway, I installed the nightly build.
Currently, weblogs.us is not registering new users. :( Are there any other hosts that use movable type?
